SKYLOTEC has been developing equipment for fall protection, rescue and safe working at height for over 75 years. The company, headquartered in Neuwied, Rhineland-Palatinate, is one of the leading manufacturers of PPE (personal protective equipment).

Manufacturing takes place at seven sites across Europe with a high degree of in-house production: from weaving, sewing and braiding to forging, CNC milling and welding, right through to laser cutting and anodising, SKYLOTEC handles all production steps in-house. The company employs around 1,000 people and is represented in more than 100 countries. The management and quality systems are certified to ISO 9001 and comply with international requirements such as the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425.

The product range includes harnesses, helmets, lanyards, ropes, carabiners, fall arrest systems, as well as abseiling and rescue equipment. In addition to equipment for industry, rescue and special operations, SKYLOTEC also develops solutions for climbing and, since autumn 2025, has offered its own product line for sailing and yachting. This line focuses on safety on deck and safe working in the mast.
