In our range of locks, we divide mortise and box locks into three size categories: delicate yacht locks, yacht locks and ship locks. The heavy ship locks are often used on working ships and commercial vessels. All items in the yacht lock category can be combined with each other – considering the type of lock (mortise or box lock, with warded lock or profile cylinder). Important dimensions for Ship Locks:
The backset of the lock is 55 mm. It describes the distance between the outer edge of the door lock (mortise lock) and the center of the keyhole.
The handles for have a 9 mm square.
The door plates have a distance of 75 mm from the center of the handle hole to the center of the keyhole.
