MED / SOLAS approval and GL certification according to ISO 25862, IEC 60945 for the pelorus with cardanic suspension (see further down on this page under "Downloads & Information").The pelorus is used on (steel) ships for relatice bearings. The rotatable brass degree disc has a scale diameter of 140 resp. 160 mm and a full-circle degree marking. This can be locked to set the compass heading.A thread sight that can be swivelled in on the object side and a fixed slit sight on the observer side are used for taking bearings. A shadow pin for inserting into the centre piece is also included in the scope of delivery. Two deck shoes enable the direction finder disc to be attached quickly and securely to different bearing locations.Available with or without cardanic suspension.Dimensions of the pelorus SEA with cardanic suspension: 197 x 350 mm, 3 kg.Dimensions of the pelorus COAST without cardanic suspension: 140 x 220 mm, 1 kg.The optionally available plywood storage box with sliding lid on the top is used for safe storage and transport of the pelorus. It is available in two sizes for the pelorus with or without cardanic suspension.Dimensions of the wooden storage box for the pelorus SEA with cardanic suspension: 250 x 250 x 275 mm.Dimensions of the wooden storage box for the pelorus COAST without cardanic suspension: 175 x 170 x 175 mm.
