In boat maintenance, good surface preparation is the key to a long-lasting paint job. After basic cleaning, it is recommended to de-grease the surfaces to be treated, e.g. with an industrial cleaner. Afterwards, the surfaces should be checked for defects. If the old coating has to be removed, a paint remover can be used.
