The galvanic isolator ZINCSAVER protects the yacht from galvanic corrosion, when there is an electric shore connection in the harbour. The isolator unit is light, small, inexpensive and simple to install: Function:The ZINCSAVER is installed between the onboard grounding and the protective grounding of the shore connection. Thus the system can be separated from the shoreside grounding system. The onboard grounding remains as a safety ground (to protect people) always (as prescribed in the CE guidelines). The use of zinc anodes in harbour can greatly reduce, because the sacrificial zinc anodes no longer have to protect the metal from neighbouring yachts and the whole marina (thus the name "zinc saver").
