The JON BUOY Recovery Module MK6 is a sophisticated man-overboard rescue system that combines a marker buoy, rescue sling and recovery device. The lightweight container (available in white or black carbon fibre) is attached using the integrated railing bracket. In an emergency, the marker buoy is launched into the water by opening the container, where it inflates automatically. The recovery system lies securely in the water thanks to the large capsize protection bag and keel weight. Thanks to the bright yellow colours, the high mast with signal flag and automatic SOLAS lighting, the one-person life raft is visible from afar. The person who has fallen overboard is lowered out of the water via the boarding aid onto the safe buoyancy platform. This has a safe load-bearing capacity of around 200 kg and ensures that the casualty cools down less quickly in cold water temperatures. When helpers approach, an initial connection can be established with the five metre long throw line. The lifting mechanism on the mast is easy for rescuers to reach from on board. The casualty is lifted out of the water together with the buoyancy platform in a gentle horizontal position. After use, the rescue module is ready for use again after rinsing with fresh water, replacing the CO₂ cartridge and re-stowing in the container.Maintenance at 2-year intervals in a Jon Buoy maintenance centre is recommended.Dimensions of the container: 39 cm x 38 cm x 22 cm. 7.5 kg.Additional safety equipment such as emergency transmitters (MOB or PLB), an emergency light, hand flares or a signal horn can also be stored in the container. The rescue module complies with the OSR (Offshore Special Regulations) of World Sailing (formerly ISAF) for participation in offshore races. The remote control system allows the release to be controlled remotely from the helm.
The PICKUP SAIL is a sail-like recovery system for saving a person who has fallen overboard. In case of emergency, the MOB sail can be lashed with a quick strap-and-snap lock between the stanchions and toerail. Thanks to integrated lead strips, the sailcloth / mesh design sinks immediately, and the exhausted victim can be maneuvered in and then brought back aboard using a halyard winch. Thus a small crew can bring a heavy victim aboard or secure him or her in a life-saving position.Made of strong polyester sailcloth and mesh with lashing strap and hoisting eye.Comes in a practical bag.Colour: signal red. Weight: 3.5 kg.
The rescue net is manufactured in Germany and consists of a high-strength webbing reinforced with stainless steel and aluminum tubes in a robust standby case. The net is attached, for example to the railing feet, with 4 straps. After opening with a pull strap, the net falls out and serves as a rescue climbing net or lifting net to lift a hypothermic person as gently and horizontally as possible on board.Pack size: length 100 cm, diameter approx. 12 cm.
SOLAS approval (SOLAS III/17-1), see further down on this page under "Downloads & Information".The Jasons's Cradle is a very stable personal rescue device that can be used to transport even an injured or unconscious person out of the water onboard with little effort. The Jasons's Cradle consists of rectangular plastic elements that together form a grid. This is attached to the side of the boat with high-strength carabiners and lowered into the water like a rope ladder. The person in the water can hold on tightly to the elements and, in the best-case scenario, can float up independently (or with support).Alternatively, the Jasons's Cradle with its strong 14 mm diameter rescue ropes can be caught up via a halyard. This forms a tube into which the person in the water either swims independently or is manoeuvred into it. In a horizontal lying position, the person is then "rolled" upwards. The Jasons's Cradle is made from high-quality plastics and V4A stainless steel and can be rolled up tightly for storage. Robust panniers are available as accessories for the short lengths and robust covers for the longer elements. Please ask us about them.In addition to the dimensions listed here, numerous other dimensions are available. Two further widths are available: five elements (= 880 mm) or 6 elements (=1050 mm)The length can be up to 6.87 metres and is then suitable for a freeboard height of up to five metres-The various available dimensions can be found in the table in the data sheet - further down on this page under "Downloads & Information"The JASON'S CRADLE personal retrieval system can be customised to your requirements. Please ask us for a quote for your customised production dimensions.
SOLAS approval (SOLAS III/17-1), see further down on this page under "Downloads & Information".Man-overboard life-saving device specially designed for inflatable boats. The Jasons's Cradle is a very stable personal rescue device that can be used to transport even an injured or unconscious person from the water on board with little effort. The Jasons's Cradle consists of rectangular plastic elements that together form a grid. This is attached to the side of the boat with high-strength carabiners and lowered into the water like a rope ladder. The person in the water can hold on tightly to the elements and, in the best-case scenario, can float up independently (or with support).Alternatively, the Jasons's Cradle FRC Kit can be pulled up by the robust loop (with a line extension if necessary). This forms a tube into which the person in the water either swims independently or is towed into it. In a horizontal lying position, the person is then "rolled" upwards. The Jasons's Cradle is made from high-quality plastics and V4A stainless steel and can be rolled up tightly for storage.Supplied complete with four fastening patches that can be attached to the inflatable boat and a robust stowage bag.For hard hull (rescue) boats, the Jason's Cradle FRC Kit is available in the sizes mentioned with screw-on eyebolts instead of the adhesive patches. The article number then ends with "H" for hard hull.
Lightweight rescue and recovery system made of a self expandible tubelike net with small packing dimensions for uncomplicated use. With the rescue net, a (fainted) person in the water can be quickly and easily caught and secured again, because their support is not required. This also works with objects that have fallen overboard or the ship's dog.The POB net is packed like a throw tent in a round fabric bag (diameter 700 mm, height 70mm, with printed step-by-step instructions in pictures) and can thus be stowed easily. Before use, the bag is secured to the railing with a carabiner. The net is taken out folded and pops up to full size when thrown into the water. Vertically, the rescue net is "slipped" over the person in the water like a fish trap. When the net completely encloses the person vertically, it is brought into a horizontal position by pulling on the recovery line. The person to be rescued is thus enclosed similar to a hammock. By hooking the salvage line to the railing (with a carabiner), the net is prevented from drifting off the ship.Persons weighing up to 120 kg can be hoisted onto the deck (with the help of a recovery device or a halyard) in the net. The gentle horizontal position is maintained. After use, the maintenance-free rescue net is simply rinsed with fresh water and packed dry back into the bag.
MOB sail (200 x 300 x 300 cm) made of water-permeable, tear-resistant polyester fabric (according to EN 471).The pack bag can be permanently attached to the stanchions with two loops with snap hooks so that the safety sail is quickly ready for use at any time. Two further snap hooks are pegged and a halyard attached to the sail head to bring a person who has fallen overboard back on board in a gentle, horizontal position. Thanks to steps and straps, the sail can also be used very well as a swimming ladder.Supplied in a red polyester pack bag. Sail colour: signal yellow with reflective stripes. Weight: 5.4 kg.
