Sound insulation mat aluminum self-adhesive
From
€37.90 *
ISOFLOCK sound insulation made of granulate in three thicknesses for insulating the engine compartment, depending on the space available. It is supplied in sheets (1 x 0.5 m) that are laminated with aluminium foil on one side to prevent the insulation from getting dirty so quickly when working on the engine or in the event of diesel or oil leaks. The reverse side is self-adhesive. This means the panel can be easily cut to size and adjusted. The backing film is then removed and glued down.Density/weight 100 kg/m3. The material is flame-retardant in accordance with ISO 9094-1 and 2 and therefore suitable for the engine compartment. Cut and joint edges, as well as the open foam sides of the panels, should be sealed with aluminium tape art. no. 2761-150 to minimize sound bridges and soiling.Toplight tip:When cutting the panels to size, mark the aluminum side with a felt-tip pen. First make cuts only up to the adhesive layer through the material, once it is finished, then fold it over and trim it. Then cut through the sticky layer with another cutting tool. If you cut through both layers at the same time, the blade often sticks and the cut can become irregular. If possible, adjust the panel joints as precisely as possible and also around fixtures in the boat. Larger gaps create sound bridges, which can significantly impair the insulation result.
