Water disinfection

HADEX is a liquid disinfectant designed for the safe treatment of drinking water on board ships, yachts, and offshore installations. It is added directly to the drinking water system and effectively eliminates harmful microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, and algae. HADEX is safe for human consumption and complies with international standards for drinking water safety.The chemical composition is based on an aqueous solution of sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl) with an active chlorine content of approximately 5 %. This ensures effective and controlled disinfection of the drinking water.Application takes place either when filling water tanks or when treating existing water supplies. Liquid disinfectant without silver (ions), suitable for disinfecting drinking water.DEXDA® Plus contains the active ingredient sodium hypochlorite, which is approved in accordance with the current German Drinking Water Ordinance (TrinkwV), and effectively combats microorganisms/pathogens such as viruses, germs, fungi and bacteria.Suitable for all tank and vessel materials. Available in 250ml bottles with dosing cap and in 5-liter canisters for large-scale users such as commercial shipping.Dosage: Drinking water disinfection 1:10000 (1ml DEXDA Plus to disinfect 10 litres of drinking water)Application: Only use in clear water and ensure good mixing. Add 1ml DEXDA Plus per 10 litres of water and leave to act for 30 minutes. On-board desalinators from KATADYN: Compact, portable hand-held devices for life rafts and individual emergency and survival equipment.These systems are used worldwide by many life raft manufacturers as standard equipment and are also widely used in the field of seakayaking.The small systems work according to the proven principle of "reverse osmosis": dissolved salts and solids are filtered out of the seawater through fine membranes at high pressure (approx. 60 bar) and flushed away.This pressure is generated in the KATADYN desalinators by a special mechanical process (Energy Recovery System) in manual operation.Type 06-RES is specially designed as emergency equipment for ships, lifeboats and life rafts. The device is supplied completely airtight and is also optimized for recycling. After a period of use or storage of five years, the used desalination pump can be returned. A special discount is granted on the purchase of a new Survivor 06-RES after return shipment.
