The Jon Buoy Rescue Sling offers the function of the classic horseshoe-shaped rescue sling with a small pack size.Stowed in either the soft case or the hard case, the Rescue Sling is attached to the railing. Thanks to its small size and attractive design, it is hardly noticeable. In a person-overboard emergency, the Rescue Sling is thrown into the water in its soft or hard case. Due to its weight, it can be thrown accurately up to a distance of over 30 metres. On contact with the water, the sling inflates automatically and the person in the water can put it on.This gives the casualty important buoyancy and makes them much more visible in the water. The signal yellow fabric is fitted with reflective strips to further improve visibility in the dark (by floodlighting). The 36 metre long 8 mm floating line can be used to pull the casualty back to the boat. The safe working load is 175 kg.An emergency light (Article-No. 3213-024) can also be added to the rescue sling. After the Horseshoe Rescue Sling has been deployed, it can be made ready for use again with a 33g CO2 cartridge with screw thread (Article-No. 3214-119). Both accessories can be found under "Accessories" further down on this page.Maintenance at 2-year intervals in a Jon Buoy maintenance centre is recommended.Dimensions / mounting:Hard Case: H x W x D 59 x 15 x 15 cm, weight: 2.2 kg. The hard case is screwed to the pushpit or a railing support using the two plastic clamps supplied (can be used either vertically or horizontally).Soft Case: H x D 51 x 11 cm, weight: 1.5 kg. The holder has a support plate with Velcro on the back. This plate can either be glued to the surface or attached with straps, e.g. to the pushpit. This allows the Rescue Sling to be stowed safely and dry below deck when the yacht is in harbour.
