RAYMARINE Axiom2 Pro 12 S
The AXIOM2 Pro S Series is the flagship of the latest generation of Axiom chartplotters. These are tried-and-true chartplotters that are rightly popular among many skippers thanks to their excellent readability in sunlight, combined touchscreen and knob/button controls, and their rugged durability. The chartplotters can be easily networked with transducers for depth, wind, and speed, as well as displays like the i70, and are highly expandable with connections for autopilots, AIS, radar, engine data, cameras, or onboard sensors and switches. The data can either be integrated into the chart display or shown on split screens or dedicated dashboard pages. This makes it easy for the crew to stay on top of everything. Chart sets from Raymarine’s own Lighthouse standard, as well as alternatives from Navionics or C-Map, can be displayed.Compared to the Axiom 2 series, the Pro S series features a keypad on the right, which greatly simplifies operation—especially in rough seas and wet conditions. The standard keypad below the rotary control can be replaced with an Evolution autopilot control panel. This allows course corrections to be made directly on the chartplotter. In addition, single-channel sonar units can be connected to the Pro S models. The chartplotter can thus display high-resolution CHIRP (Compressed High Intensity Radiated Pulse) data. There are also two SD card slots accessible from the front, which is particularly convenient for swapping out card modules, especially when the unit is installed in a bulkhead or on the steering column. The Axiom2 series has only one slot on the back. The technical upgrade of the AXIOM2 Pro S over its predecessor, the Axiom+, features a faster 6-core processor that makes startup, zooming, and switching between screens even smoother. The RAM, which has been increased from 16 to 64 gigabytes, also contributes to this. The rugged Hybrid Touch 2 display also offers enhanced app and engine data integration.Important: The new chartplotters have the same mounting dimensions as the previous Axiom+ series, so they fit into existing cutouts on board! For sailors, the adjustable polar data for the boat, dynamic course lines, tactical sailing displays, and a regatta timer are welcome features. In addition, the Axiom2 Pro S now offers integration of auto-routing functions that skippers have created using the ORCA app on a tablet or smartphone or via Navionics. These are uploaded via Wi-Fi. Furthermore, starting in mid-2025, the chartplotter will run on Raymarine’s new Lighthouse 5 operating system; the older chartplotters in the AXIOM+ series will not be updated and will continue to run on the older Version 4. Raymarine offers a 3-year warranty! As a bundle, the AXIOM2 Pro S is available for a small additional charge with Lighthouse chart sets for Northern Europe, Western Europe, or the Mediterranean. The sets are significantly cheaper this way than if purchased individually later. The chart set coverage areas are shown in the images.Package ContentsChartplotter, sunshade, bracket mount, gasket,DeviceNet to SeaTalkng adapter cable (1 m), optional ground connection (screw (M3x5), spring washer (M3), crimp connector (M3)), RayNet (female) to RayNet (female) network cable (2 m), mounting screws (4x), power/video/audio cable (1.5 m).Technical SpecificationsDisplay: IPS widescreen 1,280 x 800 WXGA (12 inches)Water resistance rating: IPX 6 and IPX-7Power consumption (max): 29.88 WVoltage: 8–32 V DC, 12 or 24 V DCDimensions (bracket mount): Height: 246.13 mm, Width: 388.5 mm, Depth (including cable): 233.4 mmDimensions for flush mounting: Height: 222.8 mm, Width: 358.03 mm, Depth (including cable): 233.4 mmGPS: GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, 10 Hz update rateConnectors: 2x RayNet, NMEA2000: DeviceNet, 25-pin RealVision connector.
