Products from Davis

Davis Instruments, a leading manufacturer of weather stations and marine instruments, was founded in 1969 by Jim Acquistapace and Bob Selig. What began as a small marine product company has grown into a globally recognized provider of high-quality, rugged, and accurate weather stations. Initially, Davis Instruments produced lightweight plastic sextants—a tool for navigating the seas. In 1984, the company expanded its range with the Turbometer, a handheld wind meter for sailors, marking Davis Instruments' entry into the weather observation business.
This step led to the acquisition of Digitar and the production of the first in-house weather station, which served as the precursor to today's advanced Vantage Pro2 and Vantage Vue stations. In 2019, Davis Instruments celebrated its "Golden Anniversary of Weather Innovation" and launched WeatherLink Live, an innovative device that gathers the details of your own micro-climate and delivers this information to your smartphone and weatherlink.com.
2019 not only marked Davis Instruments' 50th anniversary but also the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter. After 50 years, Jim and Bob retired, and Davis Instruments became part of Advanced Environmental Monitoring (AEM), a network of companies including OneRain, High Sierra, Vieux & Associates, FTS, Lambrecht Meteo, and Earth Networks. This partnership allows Davis Instruments to further expand its innovation and market presence.
