Description

Special cleaner and brightener for weathered and soiled wooden surfaces, especially teak decks. Also cleans GRP, gelcoat and particularly non-slip or textured deck coverings, removes yellowing and rust stains. Greyed teak decks regain their original wood tone, tannin-rich woods such as oak can be neutralized before recoating.

OWATROL DECK CLEANER should be used to neutralize the wood after using alkaline deep cleaners such as DEEP CLEANER. The cleaner is based on oxalic acid and is biodegradable.

Safety note: Wear chemical-resistant gloves, safety goggles and protective clothing when using.

Application: Moisten absorbent substrates such as wood with water. Homogenize container by shaking. Apply evenly, then allow to act for 10-20 minutes. Ensure the surface remains wet during this time (e.g., with a garden hose). After the exposure time, rinse thoroughly with a brush or pressure washer to remove dirt from the pores. In heavily stained areas, repeat the application if necessary. Wait at least three days before further treatment with oils or varnishes (e.g., OWATROL DECK SEALER or AQUADECKS).

  • Coverage: approx. 5–10 m²/l depending on degree of soiling
  • Thinning: undiluted or dilutable with water up to 1:5 
  • Processing temperature: +5 °C to +35 °C
  • Drying (20 °C): rinse off after 10–15 min., then allow wood to dry for 48 hrs
