Niro-Petersen GmbH was founded in 1965 by Gerd Johannes Petersen in Flensburg, Germany. Initially operating as "Vorrichtungsbau Petersen," the company quickly gained recognition as a manufacturer of stainless steel boat fittings. The founder's nickname, "Gerd-Niro," led to the current company name. Today, under the leadership of Marcel Crusius and Jan-Ole Scholz, Niro Petersen produces over 1,500 standard fittings as well as custom-made components at its Flensburg facility.
The product range includes fairleads, cleats, stanchions, deck eyes, chainplates, and hinges, all made from A4 stainless steel and electro-polished. These products are known for their corrosion resistance and durability. Manufacturing is carried out using modern machinery, allowing for both standard production and custom orders. With complete in-house production, Niro Petersen can respond flexibly to individual customer requirements while ensuring high product quality.
