Kong S.p.A. is an Italian manufacturer of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear based in Monte Marenzo, Province of Lecco. Founded in 1830 by Giuseppe Bonaiti, the company has been involved in the development and production of equipment for mountaineering, rescue, work at height, and nautical applications.
All production takes place at the 10,000 m² facility in Monte Marenzo. Kong places great emphasis on quality and safety; all products are certified according to the strictest international standards. Since 1994, the company has been certified according to UNI EN ISO 9001 and operates a quality management system that includes the planning and execution of professional training services, with particular attention to workplace safety.
Kong's motto is: "To manufacture safety where risk is the protagonist". The company prides itself on designing, testing, and manufacturing 100% of its products in Italy to ensure the highest quality standards.
