Paul Günther GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1952 in Eggenfelden and specializes in the development and production of flying and water toys. Since its founding, the company has been family-owned and still manufactures predominantly at its own site in Germany. Modern manufacturing methods are combined with traditional craftsmanship. The focus is on durable materials and careful workmanship in compliance with internal quality standards.

The model sailboats like the MÖVE are now considered classics and have been manufactured almost unchanged in Eggenfelden since the 1950s – with great care and numerous manual steps. The plastic hulls are made using the deep-drawing process, the wooden deck is coated with seawater-resistant varnish, the sails are sewn by hand and adjustable depending on the model. The robust plastic hull with weighted keel ensures stable buoyancy and enables a realistic sailing experience on the water.

Whether as a toy or a collector's item – the model boats from Günther stand for traditional manufacturing, thoughtful design, and a toy culture maintained to this day that delights generations of children and model boat enthusiasts.

Sailboat GIGGI

GIGGI is a floatable model boat that impresses not only with its detailed design but also with its sailing characteristics. The rig and the built-in lead keel are perfectly matched, making the boat float safely in the water. The mainsail can be adjusted via a sheet and allows sailing on almost all courses. On close-hauled courses, GIGGI tends to head up slightly but remains pretty course-stable. The deck structure and hull are made of white, deep-drawn plastic with a seawater-resistant coating, the deck is made of clear-lacquered Gabon plywood, and the rig is made of beech wood. The sails are made of polyester fabric. Instructions for sail adjustment are printed on the packaging.
