GME (Greenwich Marine Electronics) was founded in 1959 by Edward “Ted” Dunn in Australia. The company evolved from a small provider of two-way communication systems into a leading manufacturer of radio communication devices and emergency beacons. GME is a family-owned company based in Sydney, operating its own manufacturing facility with over 195 employees. It is the only Australian manufacturer of UHF CB radios and emergency beacons, holding a significant market share in these segments.

GME's product range includes EPIRBs (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons), PLBs (Personal Locator Beacons), VHF marine radios, UHF CB radios, antennas, and accessories. GME's EPIRBs are equipped with integrated GNSS receivers and features such as 121.5 MHz homing signals, infrared strobe lights, and a battery life of up to 10 years. The VHF marine radios, like the GX700W, are waterproof to IPX7 and designed for maritime use. GME also offers handheld VHF radios with features like floatation, built-in flashlight, and USB-C charging. All products are developed and manufactured in Australia, meeting international standards such as CE, FCC, and Cospas-Sarsat.

GME MT610G PLB ACCUSAT

This PLB is not available for an indefinite period.The MT610G is a very compact, lightweight PLB (Personal Locator Beacon) from the Australian manufacturer GME.It transmits the emergency alarm including the exact GPS position via Cospas-Sarsat (406 MHz). The 121.5 MHz frequency is also used for homing.Before delivery, the MMSI of your ship must be programmed into the EPIRB. To do this, please select the initial programming (Article-No. 3957-000) under "Accessories" further down on this page. In the last step of the order process, you can enter the required ship data under "Remarks": Ship name, MMSI, IMO no., call sign, flag. Would you like to use the PLB on different yachts or in a sea kayak? Then you can alternatively register the emergency beacon in the UK using the device's own ID number. The number and details of the corresponding homepage are enclosed with the device. If you want the PLB without programming the MMSI, please indicate this under "Remarks" in your order. The device is activated by switching it on manually. The emergency signal is transmitted after 30 seconds at the earliest. No warm-up time is required due to the digital frequency conditioning.
