Forsheda is a brand of the Trelleborg Group, based in Forsheda, Sweden. Originally founded in 1946, the company specializes in the development and manufacturing of sealing systems for various industries, including automotive, mechanical engineering, and construction. In the maritime sector, Forsheda is particularly known for its high-quality mooring compensators sold under the Forsheda brand.
The Forsheda product range includes mooring compensators made of EPDM rubber, available in four sizes suitable for rope diameters from 8 to 24 mm. The compensators are resistant to UV radiation, saltwater, and ozone. They feature integrated nylon clamps that prevent chafing of the rope and allow for easy installation. The damping effect can be individually adjusted by varying the number of rope turns around the compensator.
