Products from Dietz

Dietz storm lanterns, named after their inventor Robert Edwin Dietz, have been synonymous with reliable kerosene lighting since the 19th century. The German-American Robert Edwin Dietz (January 5, 1818 - September 19, 1897) founded a lamp factory in Brooklyn in 1840, initially producing candle holders. In 1842, his brother William Henry Dietz joined the business, and by 1845, the manufactory had started producing kerosene lamps. These robust lamps, known for their durability and reliability, have made a name for themselves worldwide.
In 1855, the production moved to larger facilities within New York, and the range was expanded to include typical spare parts such as burners for kerosene lamps. With continuous growth and increasing demand for high-quality lighting solutions, the company decided in 1956 to move production to Hong Kong. Since 1988, the original DIETZ lamps have been manufactured in China, maintaining the traditional manufacturing methods and high quality of the products.
DIETZ storm lanterns are known for their resilience and efficiency, and they are popular with outdoor enthusiasts and professional users around the world. They are a reliable choice for anyone who needs a dependable light source even under extreme conditions.
