A high-gloss, extremely hard 2-component finish coat based on saturated polyester resins and isocyanate with integrated UV filter. EPIFANES POLY-URETHANE YACHT COATING is particularly scratch-, impact-, and abrasion-resistant and offers very good weather and water resistance even in tropical climates. Suitable for wood, steel, aluminum, and GRP in interior and exterior areas above the waterline. Can be applied directly to thoroughly degreased and sanded polyester surfaces and is compatible with common epoxy and polyurethane primers.
Application: The two components are mixed in a ratio of 2:1 (base:hardener, by weight) and ideally left to stand for 30 minutes (induction time). Application is done with brush, roller, or spray gun at temperatures from 10–30 °C and relative humidity between 50% and 75%. Do not apply wet-on-wet. Between coats, an intermediate sanding with P360–P400 is required if the next coat is not applied within 24 hours. Thinning is possible with EPIFANES PU BRUSH THINNER (Art.No. 2059-301) or PU SPRAY THINNER (Art.No. 2059-310).
Custom color order: POLY-URETHANE YACHT COATING can be mixed in all RAL colors except metallics and fluorescent colors, and in all colors of the common maritime paint manufacturers from EPIFANES. The varnish is also available in satin gloss. Delivery time is approx. 10 days. Please specify the exact color shade at the very end of the ordering process under "Remarks".
