EPIFANES WATERLINE PAINT is a high-gloss, 1-component enamel based on urethane/alkyd resin, specially formulated for the waterline area. It is suitable for fresh and saltwater areas and offers increased protection against weathering to maintain gloss and color stability in the transition area between water and air. Applicable to GRP/gelcoat, steel, wood, and aluminum above the waterline.
Application It is recommended to apply with a long-haired, soft brush, a mohair roller, or spray gun at temperatures between 10 °C and 28 °C and relative humidity between 50% and 75%. Before application, stir the can well. Do not work wet-on-wet. For a new build, at least two coats of EPIFANES WATERLINE PAINT are recommended. Between coats, sand lightly with P400. Thinning with EPIFANES PAINT THINNER (Art.No 2059-001) or 1-C SPRAY THINNER (Art.No 2059-110) is possible.
TIP: It is recommended to paint the waterline 5–10 cm above the water (at full load) so that the paint does not have constant water exposure later.

In contrast, EPIFANES GOLD SPECIAL is easier to apply than gold leaf and allows the included gold dust to shine in its typical gloss and color tone. Application: The surface must be dry, well degreased, and sanded. On GRP, steel, wood, and zinc, an adhesion-promoting primer with EPIFANES MULTI MARINE PRIMER (Art.No 2066-175) is recommended, which should be sanded with P180–P220 after drying. SIGMARINE 49 is a high-gloss alkyd topcoat for interior and exterior areas above the waterline. It is easy to apply with a brush and shows very good flow, high weather resistance, opacity and color stability. The paint is also resistant to sulphur dioxide (occurs in areas with high levels of air pollution). Not suitable for permanent exposure to water or continuous exposure to spray water.

Classic, high-gloss graphite paint based on alkyd and urethane resins, e.g. for the hatch coaming and numerous other applications for interior and exterior use above the waterline. The coating is suitable for steel surfaces above the waterline and creates a smooth, dark metallic glossy surface. Due to the smooth and non-porous surface, dirt does not stick to it and the paint is easy to clean.Application: The surface must be clean, dry, grease-free, and sanded. For steel, a primer with a suitable primer such as EPIFANES MULTI MARINE PRIMER is recommended. Stir well before use. Apply with brush, roller, or spray gun at temperatures from 10 °C. Thinning is possible with EPIFANES PAINT THINNER or white spirit. Intermediate sanding between coats is recommended.
