EPIFANES WERDOL COASTERLAK Yacht Paint
A high-gloss single-component marine varnish based on linseed oil/alkyd resin with very good coverage and flow properties. EPIFANES WERDOL COASTERLACK offers long-lasting gloss, high weather resistance, and is suitable for interior and exterior use above the waterline. It can be used on steel, wood, aluminum, or gelcoat in combination with a suitable primer and is also suitable for reworking existing, intact 1- or 2-component coatings.
Application: The surface must be clean, dry, grease-free, and sanded. Suitable primers are EPIFANES MULTI MARINE PRIMER or WERDOL PRIMER PAINT. On new aluminum, EPIFANES WASHPRIMER AQ must be applied beforehand. An intermediate sanding with P400 (by hand) is recommended between coats. Application is by brush, roller, or spray gun at 10–28 °C and 50–75 % relative humidity. Do not apply coats wet-on-wet. For increased UV protection, a dry film thickness of at least 100–120 µm in 3–4 coats should be achieved.

This gold paint was developed on an acrylic copolymer basis for decorative stripes, ship names, and lettering on classic yachts, where traditionally gold leaf was laboriously applied. In contrast, EPIFANES GOLD SPECIAL is easier to apply than gold leaf and allows the included gold dust to shine in its typical gloss and color tone. Application: The surface must be dry, well degreased, and sanded. On GRP, steel, wood, and zinc, an adhesion-promoting primer with EPIFANES MULTI MARINE PRIMER (Art.No 2066-175) is recommended, which should be sanded with P180–P220 after drying. EPIFANES FLAT BLACK is a one-component, black matte finish based on urethane resin for interior and exterior areas. With a gloss rate of only 5–10%, it gives surfaces a modern, matte appearance. The product is resistant to alcohol and common household cleaners and has high scratch resistance.Application: The substrate must be clean, dry, grease-free, and sanded; application is done with a brush, roller, or spray gun. Fast-drying, glossy single-component alkyd paint. SIGMARINE 48 is particularly suitable as a topcoat on decks, e.g., outer hull or superstructures. The paint is water- and weather-resistant, durable and can be applied over most intact alkyd coatings. Also suitable for areas exposed to changing atmospheric and immersion conditions (e.g., bilges). By adding SIGMA Antislip Powder (Item No. 2586-100), the paint can additionally be made non-slip for deck coatings.Application: The substrate must be clean, dry, and free of contaminants. Existing coatings should be roughened if necessary. Stir well before use. Ideally apply the product at temperatures above 15 °C using a brush, roller, air or airless spray equipment. The recommended thinner is SIGMA THINNER 20-05. SIGMARINE 49 is a high-gloss alkyd topcoat for interior and exterior areas above the waterline. It is easy to apply with a brush and shows very good flow, high weather resistance, opacity and color stability. The paint is also resistant to sulphur dioxide (occurs in areas with high levels of air pollution). Not suitable for permanent exposure to water or continuous exposure to spray water.

Classic, high-gloss graphite paint based on alkyd and urethane resins, e.g. for the hatch coaming and numerous other applications for interior and exterior use above the waterline. The coating is suitable for steel surfaces above the waterline and creates a smooth, dark metallic glossy surface. Due to the smooth and non-porous surface, dirt does not stick to it and the paint is easy to clean.Application: The surface must be clean, dry, grease-free, and sanded. For steel, a primer with a suitable primer such as EPIFANES MULTI MARINE PRIMER is recommended. Stir well before use. Apply with brush, roller, or spray gun at temperatures from 10 °C. Thinning is possible with EPIFANES PAINT THINNER or white spirit. Intermediate sanding between coats is recommended.
