Traditional, high-gloss clear varnish based on wood oil with excellent UV protection. INTERNATIONAL SCHOONER is suitable for interior and exterior areas above the waterline and can also be applied directly to oily woods such as teak and iroko. SCHOONER offers excellent water resistance, good flow properties, and a warm, golden tone.
Application: On bare wood, the first coat is applied thinned with 10% INTERNATIONAL Thinner No. 1 (2550-006). This is followed by 4–6 unthinned coats with intermediate sanding (grit P320–P400). Previously varnished surfaces are cleaned with Super Cleaner, sanded, and refinished with 2–4 coats. Application is done with a brush, roller, or spray equipment at 10–29 °C. Good ventilation and a dry environment are required for drying.
