EPIFANES RAPIDCLEAR Satin Gloss Varnish
EPIFANES RAPIDCLEAR is a fast-drying, satin gloss clear varnish based on urethane/alkyd resin with integrated UV filter. The varnish forms a transparent, amber-colored protective film that preserves the natural appearance of the wood grain. RAPIDCLEAR is suitable for interior and exterior applications above the waterline – especially for oily woods such as teak – and can also be used as a quick base coat before high-gloss systems like EPIFANES Yacht Varnish (Art.No. 2050-001) or Hardwood Varnish Oil (Art.No. 2051-050).
Application: The surface must be clean, dry, grease-free, and sanded (max. wood moisture: 15%). Application is done with a brush or spray gun at temperatures between 12 °C and 28 °C. No sanding is required between coats if recoated within 72 hours. For a high-gloss finish, EPIFANES YACHT VARNISH CLEAR can be applied to the sanded surface.

EPIFANES hardwood varnish oil serves as an alternative to pure oil systems and forms a grease and oil regulating clear varnish system in up to five coats.With a layer structure of less than five layers, the varnish oil still remains breathable. With more coats, the wood is completely sealed. Can be used for coating solid wood and plywood indoors and outdoors above the waterline, as well as for reworking existing one- and two-component lacquer systems.Application: Do not use the product below 8°C and avoid direct sunlight or strong wind. Apply the hardwood varnish oil with a brush. Do not apply wet on wet and avoid too thick layers to prevent drying problems, runs or craters. The product has good penetration and adhesion properties and offers long-term protection against UV radiation. The varnish is suitable exclusively for interior areas and creates a warm, silky surface with good resistance to alcohol and common household cleaners. Application: On bare wood, it is recommended to first build up with several coats of high-gloss varnish such as EPIFANES CLEAR VARNISH (Art.No. 2050-001). HEMPEL'S CLASSIC VARNISH is a traditional, transparent clear varnish based on alkyd resin and tung oil (chinese wood oil). It forms a flexible and weather-resistant high-gloss film with good resistance to seawater, UV radiation, and fluctuating weather conditions. The varnish is suitable for new and renovation coatings on wood surfaces indoors and outdoors above the waterline.Application On new untreated wood, a priming coat with HEMPEL'S WOOD IMPREG (Art.No 2577-016) is recommended. It forms a high-gloss, elastic protective layer with excellent weather and water resistance. A traditional clear varnish that is highly elastic, has great penetrating properties, and does not peel. Traditionally manufactured by gently cooking linseed and tung oil. RYLARD VG63 dries very slowly compared to synthetic resin varnishes, which accounts for the elasticity and durability required for solid wood boats. The varnish is particularly suitable for use on wood in marine environments or other highly demanding conditions.Application: Apply two coats of RYLARD IMPREGNANTE (Art. SIGMA VARNISH YACHT GLOSS (formerly known as SIGMARINE 42) is a high-gloss, solvent-based clear varnish based on wood oil, phenolic and alkyd resin.
