Classic, high-gloss yacht varnish based on alkyd resin for applications above the waterline. EPIFANES YACHT ENAMEL is suitable for primed surfaces made of wood, steel, aluminum, and fiberglass for interior and exterior use and is resistant to salt and fresh water. It is known for its optimal flow properties, long-lasting gloss, and good weather resistance. Compatible with many existing 1-component and 2-component systems and can also be overcoated with EPIFANES MONO-URETHANE (Art.No. 2055-101) or EPIFANES NAUTIFORTE (Art.No. 2054-102).Application The surface must be clean, dry, dust- and grease-free. Sand old coatings, remove loose or non-adhering layers. Application is done with brush, roller, or spray gun at temperatures above 8 °C and relative humidity below 85%. Do not apply wet-on-wet. For even gloss, intermediate sanding is required. The recommended wet film thickness is 70–80 µm, corresponding to 35–40 µm dry. EPIFANES WATERLINE PAINT is a high-gloss, 1-component enamel based on urethane/alkyd resin, specially formulated for the waterline area. It is suitable for fresh and saltwater areas and offers increased protection against weathering to maintain gloss and color stability in the transition area between water and air. Applicable to GRP/gelcoat, steel, wood, and aluminum above the waterline. Application It is recommended to apply with a long-haired, soft brush, a mohair roller, or spray gun at temperatures between 10 °C and 28 °C and relative humidity between 50% and 75%. Before application, stir the can well. Do not work wet-on-wet. For a new build, at least two coats of EPIFANES WATERLINE PAINT are recommended. Between coats, sand lightly with P400. EPIFANES RUBBED EFFECT VARNISH is a fast-drying, scratch-resistant 1-component clear varnish based on urethane/alkyd resin with a satin finish. The varnish is suitable exclusively for interior areas and creates a warm, silky surface with good resistance to alcohol and common household cleaners. Application: On bare wood, it is recommended to first build up with several coats of high-gloss varnish such as EPIFANES CLEAR VARNISH (Art.No. 2050-001). Then, apply two coats of EPIFANES RUBBED EFFECT VARNISH. Best results are achieved with a soft long-hair brush. Alternatively, spray application is also possible. EPIFANES SATIN FINISH WHITE is a single-component satin gloss varnish based on urethane/alkyd resin for interior and exterior areas above the waterline. It is characterized by optimal flow, high coverage, and resistance to weathering as well as common household cleaning agents. The product is suitable for use on wood, steel, GRP, and aluminum in combination with the appropriate primer system. Suitable as a satin-matt finish over a high-gloss paint system.Application Application is carried out with a brush, roller, or spray gun at temperatures of 8–30 °C and relative humidity between 50% and 85%. In interior areas, 2–3 coats are applied to the previously primed surface. Intermediate sanding with P320–P400 is required between coats. EPIFANES AQUA MARINE SATIN VARNISH is a water-based, satin-finish interior clear varnish based on polyurethane/acrylic resin. It is characterized by high scratch resistance, fast drying, and high resistance to alcohol and common household cleaners. Suitable for all types of wood in interior areas and results in a clear, even surface after drying. The product is VOC-reduced and low-odor, ideal for interiors with high demands on application and environmental compatibility.Application: For bare wood, a multi-layer build-up with EPIFANES CLEAR BOAT VARNISH (Art. No. 2050-001) is recommended, which is then finished with two coats of EPIFANES AQUA MARINE SATIN VARNISH. Alternatively, the varnish can be applied directly to clean and sanded old coatings. Application is done with a brush or spray gun at temperatures above 8 °C and max. 85% relative humidity. An intermediate sanding with P220 is required between coats. Thinning with water up to a maximum of 15% is possible. EPIFANES FLAT BLACK is a one-component, black matte finish based on urethane resin for interior and exterior areas. With a gloss rate of only 5–10%, it gives surfaces a modern, matte appearance. The product is resistant to alcohol and common household cleaners and has high scratch resistance.Application: The substrate must be clean, dry, grease-free, and sanded; application is done with a brush, roller, or spray gun. On GRP, steel, wood, or aluminum, a suitable primer such as EPIFANES MULTI MARINE PRIMER (Art.No. 2066-175) is recommended, depending on the material. Indoors, up to three coats are applied directly to the previously primed surface.
