It serves as a good barrier against penetrating water vapor on rigid substrates, for osmosis prevention and repair on GRP and as corrosion protection on metals. It can also be used on plywood and hardwood. Suitable for interior and exterior use above and below the waterline, as well as for coating keels and rudders.
Within the specified recoating intervals, LIGHT PRIMER can also be recoated directly with a subsequent product without intermediate sanding. The surface should be almost dry, but still slightly tacky. For a subsequent coat of antifouling, a coat of HEMPEL UNDERWATER PRIMER (Art. No. 2577-053) is recommended as an adhesion primer.

Application is carried out using airless or air spray guns, brushes, or rollers. The recommended thinner is SIGMA THINNER 21-06. The minimum application temperature is 5°C. Ensure adequate ventilation during application and drying. Recoating is possible after just 4 hours at 20°C (with SIGMARINE 28, 48, or PPG VIKOTE 56). EURO LOCK Zinc Dust Paint offers high-quality corrosion protection for all metals, with a zinc content of approx. 95 % in the dry film. Suitable for touching up galvanized anchors, anchor chains and for repairing welding and sheet metal work (electrically conductive during welding). Prevents rust and offers good protection against extreme weather conditions. Temperature resistant up to 500 °C. Suitable as a single coating or as a primer for further top coats on systems exposed to water and weathering.
