Clear alkyd oil for impregnating raw wood to saturate it before applying varnish. Also suitable for the treatment of hardwoods, both indoors and outdoors above the waterline.
Application: Before applying to untreated wood, ensure that the surface is dry and clean (wood moisture content should be below 16%). Remove dust and loose material from surfaces that have already been treated. Stir the container well and apply 2-4 coats wet on wet with a brush until the wood is saturated and no more oil is absorbed. Allow the oil to soak in, then wipe off excess oil with a lint-free cloth to prevent a film from forming. After drying, the surface can be further treated with the appropriate varnish or paint.
Theoretical coverage: 13 m²/l (depending on surface roughness, porosity of the substrate and application method)
Thinner: HEMPEL Thinner 811 (max. 20%)
