SEAJET 015 UNDERWATER PRIMER is a fast-drying underwater hull primer based on special acrylic resins. It serves as a barrier and tie coat for unknown, PTFE-containing, or incompatible antifoulings and forms a hard, yet flexible film with good adhesion to the substrate. The spray can variant is particularly suitable for touch-ups and hard-to-reach areas such as drives, propellers, and trim tabs.
Application: Suitable for underwater areas on GRP and wood. On existing antifoulings, the surface should be sanded with P100–120 before application; then one coat of SEAJET 015 is applied. For a new coating on GRP, clean the surface with THINNER E after degreasing and sanding with P100–120; then apply 3 coats of SEAJET 015. On wood, 3 to 4 coats are required after degreasing and light sanding. Shake carefully before use and apply only on dry, moisture-free surfaces. Ensure good ventilation, avoid skin contact as well as inhalation of vapor and spray mist, and wear suitable protective gloves, protective clothing, as well as eye and face protection. Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flames.
