Description

The 500 series is a navigation lantern from the Hamburg-based manufacturer PETERS & BEY for ships under 50 meters in length (unlimited in inland navigation). The watertight, black housing and the lenses are made of glass fiber reinforced polyamide, the inner parts and covers are made of stainless steel.

The position light is corrosion-free, shock-proof, seawater-resistant, anti-magnetic and splash-proof in accordance with IP 56.

The bulb can be easily changed from above by opening the housing cover.

The LED lantern 780 has the following approvals: BSH, GL, UL 1104, MED
This makes it suitable for commercial shipping.

The lantern can be operated with 12V or 24V bulbs and thus covers the typical voltage ranges of yachts and smaller commercial vessels.

Poycarbonate lenses of navigationlights can become brittle and dull after years of UV exposure, so replacing the lenses may be advisable. The lenses come with four pop rivets, and the seal kit includes two soft rubber seals. The electrical insert with bayonet socket is also replaceable.
