SIKA Multiprimer Marine is used to improve the adhesion between Sikaflex adhesives and the various substrates such as woods like teak (for teak deck application), mahogany, oregon pine and cork, metals like aluminium and galvanized steel, paint-primed substrates, GRP and other plastics.

Sika Primer 209D is a black, moisture-curing low viscous primer specifically formulated for the treatment of painted surfaces, plastics or acrylic glass. Cleaner for preparation of a surface for the application of a primer. To improve the adhesion properties we recommend the application of a special SIKA primer.

For an ideal adhesion when jointing wooden decks with SIKAFLEX-290 DC PRO it is highly advised to undercoat the joint flanks with SIKA-Primer 290 DC.This transparent, low viscosity primer is applied masking and has to be allowed to evaporate for at least one hour before the jointing, which has to be done in the time frame of 24 hours. SIKA-Primer 290 DC is suitable for the preconditioning of the following surfaces: - teak, - mahogany, - Oregon pine, - cork, - GRP on the basis of non-saturated polyester.

SIKAFLEX-295 UV is a one-component, moisture-curing polyurethane adhesive and sealant for plastic glass in the marine sector. It is stable, weather and UV-resistant and meets the requirements of the IMO. Suitable for interior and exterior applications.Application: Sikaflex-295 UV is used for bonding and grouting plastic panes (PC, PMMA) and for visible joints on board. Substrates must be clean, dry and free of oil, grease and dust. The specific surface pre-treatment is carried out according to the Sika® pre-treatment table. Processing between 10-35 °C, optimum temperature 15-25 °C. Ideally, the adhesive should be applied in a triangular bead. Carry out joining work within the skin forming time. Smoothing before skin formation, recommended with Sika® Smoothing Agent N. Remove uncured material with Sika® Remover-208; cured material only mechanically.
