The deck joint sealant for professionals in yacht and shipbuilding. Particularly UV and seawater resistant one-component product based on polyurethane, specially developed for grouting teak decks.
Easy to apply due to optimum flow properties and long smoothing time. SIKAFLEX-290 DC PRO is characterized by a good curing speed and can be sanded very well after curing.
Further product features:
- high strength (40° Shore A hardness, 3 N/mm tensile strength),
- permanently elastic,
- elongation at break approx. 600%,
- silicone-free,
- very good weather resistance,
- non-corrosive,
- can be painted over with 2-component paints.
- Color: black.
Available as a 300 ml cartridge or 600 ml bag for application in a bag gun, consumption example: 300 ml is sufficient for 10 linear meters for a 5x5 mm joint.

All SIKAFLEX products are high-quality, one-component adhesives and sealants based on polyurethane. By absorbing moisture from the air, the plastic sealant becomes a high-quality elastomer. We only supply products from the blue SIKAFLEX Marine line, which were specially developed by SIKA-Chemie for the maritime sector. They are characterized by a broad adhesion spectrum and can be used on all boat building materials.
For wooden substrates, a suitable primer must be used, e.g. Sika Primer-290 DC or Sika MultiPrimer Marine.
Attention: SIKAFLEX-290 DC PRO contains 4,4'-methylenediphenyl diisocyanate, therefore protective gloves are enclosed with the product. Please observe the hazard warnings on the product. The safety data sheets can be found at www.sika.de.
