INTERNATIONAL ORIGINAL is a traditional, high-gloss clear varnish based on wood oil with excellent UV protection. The product is suitable for all common types of wood above the waterline and impresses with good flexibility, long-lasting gloss retention, and a clear, warm appearance – especially on light woods. The varnish is water-resistant, non-chalking, and suitable for both interior and exterior use.Application: The surface must be dry, free of grease, and sanded (bare wood: P80–180, old coatings: P280–320). Stir well before use. The first coat should be thinned with 10–15% INTERNATIONAL Thinner No. 1 (Art.No. 2550-006). Then apply at least three undiluted coats. An intermediate sanding with P320–400 is recommended between coats. INTERNATIONAL COMPASS clear varnish

High-gloss, fast-drying polyurethane clear coat with an especially hard surface and very good weather and UV resistance. The amber-colored varnish enhances the natural wood grain and is suitable for all common types of wood in outdoor areas above the waterline. INTERNATIONAL COMPASS clear varnish is resistant to oil, mild acids, alkalis, and alcohol splashes and can also be applied directly to oily woods such as teak or iroko.Application: The surface must be clean, dry, and free of grease. For raw wood, the first coat should be applied thinned, followed by 3–5 unthinned coats with sanding between every 2nd to 3rd coat (P320–400). For oily woods, pretreatment with INTERNATIONAL Thinner No. 1 (Art.No. 2550-006) is recommended. Application is done with a brush, roller, or spray device at temperatures between 5 °C and 35 °C.
