Adapter for stainless steel VETUS Dorade Box
Adapter deck flange made of 6 mm thick, high-gloss polished stainless steel (AISI 316) with four Ø 5.2 mm holes.
For deck thicknesses over 25 mm, such as with classic wooden decks, multilayer decks or existing larger deck openings, the adapter flange offers a practical solution for mounting VETUS stainless steel dorade boxes.
The VETUS dorade boxes of type BOX and BOXS are designed for deck thicknesses up to 25 mm and for a matching cut-out. Fixation is done using a white plastic flange with an external thread, which is screwed from the inside into an internal thread on the air duct of the box. Since this thread is only about 30 mm long, this mounting method is not suitable for thicker decks.
In such cases, the adapter flange is required:
It is placed from below against the seating surface of the dorade box and fixed using the plastic flange. Its screw-on contact surface is wider than the dorade box and allows direct fastening from above onto the deck. The actual deck thickness is irrelevant – as long as the control knob of the mushroom vent remains accessible through the opening
