In stock
The IMO International Code of Signals regulates communication between ships, aircraft and shore-based authorities where the safety of shipping and persons is essentially at stake. The reference work is particularly useful when language difficulties arise.
The code is suitable for transmission by all means of communication, including radiotelephony and radiotelegraphy.
Since the first edition in 1965, amendments to the Code have been adopted by the Maritime Safety Committee of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), resulting in four subsequent editions. The fourth edition of the Code from 2005 included all amendments up to MSC 73 in December 2000. The "International Code of Signals" has not been significantly amended since then. The current 5th edition of 2021 contains only minor editorial improvements and a new cover.
5. Edition 2021, 165 pages, format 21.5 x 30 cm, hardcover.
