Thanks to the new open-bridge design, the binoculars are now even easier to grip with just one hand. The eyecups give a comfortable feeling when looking through and thanks to the improved strap connection, the binoculars can be carried comfortably.
The brilliant features of the COMMANDER have been retained and further improved in details.
The sealed Makrolon housing with fibre-reinforced polycarbonate is extremely resistant and at the same time ultra-light. Thanks to the non-slip and shock-absorbing NBR Longlife rubber armouring, the lens is resistant to oil, acid and salt water. The unique floating prism bearing ensures the permanently elastic mounting of the optical parts and the best possible protection against impacts. This means that the adjustment remains precise for decades. The binoculars are also water pressure-tight up to 10 m, have a nitrogen pressure filling to prevent fogging and can be used in a temperature range from -40 to +80 °C. All this adds up to robustness. All this adds up to a level of robustness that is already legendary.
Once set, the STEINER Sports-Auto-Focus always delivers pin-sharp images in 3D brilliance from 20 m to infinity - without refocusing. The 7x magnification provides blur-free images even in rough seas. XL field of view of 140m / 1000m.
Optional HD compass with integrated precision graticule. This is currently the world's largest compass in binoculars.
