After the season is before the season

Nobody likes the end of the season, but it’s still worth preparing for it.

Nothing is more annoying than when the boat is suspended from the crane and the owner suddenly realizes what they have forgotten to get for winterizing. TOPLICHT has a range of products that are very useful for this.

Anyone storing their boat outdoors needs a sturdy winter cover, preferably with a solid frame that can also withstand winter storms. Anyone who wants to prevent the dreaded diesel bug should fill the tank once more and add a diesel additive to the fuel. Antifreeze in the external engine circuit protects the engine, and in the drinking water system it protects pumps and pipes, as well as toilet pumps – depending on the manufacturer.

Well cleaned hulls and decks suffer fewer chafe marks from covers. In addition, dust and dirt accumulated over the winter are easier to remove in spring. Anyone using a long-lasting antifouling and storing their boat indoors can even apply antifouling already. Or clean the folding propeller and lubricate it with special grease.

The following Toplicht products help with this and have proven themselves in practice over many years.

LIQUI MOLY Marine Diesel Protection
The additive DIESEL PROTECTION is a highly effective biocide against bacteria, yeasts and moulds in the tank. It prevents clogging of filters and fuel lines and, when used preventively, protects against the dreaded "diesel plague".The additive cleans the entire fuel and injection system and ensures very good corrosion protection, even during longer periods of inactivity. In case of acute infestation, a shock dosage of 1:200 is required. One measuring cup (25 ml) is sufficient for 5 litres of diesel fuel. For preventive application 1:1000, one measuring cup (25 ml) is sufficient for 25 litres of diesel fuel.The 200 ml DIESEL PROTECT SHOOTER is as a small container particularly suitable for use on sailing yachts. For acute shock dosing, sufficient for up to 40 litres of diesel. For preventive use, sufficient for up to 200 litres of diesel.Use biocidal products with care. Always read the label and product information before use.

DRY-BAG desiccant
The DRY-BAG dehumidifier is a reusable moisture absorber designed to regulate humidity in enclosed spaces such as boat cabins, technical compartments, storage areas or motorhomes. It protects equipment, electronics and materials from condensation, mould and corrosion. The bag absorbs moisture from the surrounding air and retains it safely within the granules – completely drip-free and without the need for a collection tray.Simply place or hang the bag in the area to be protected – such as the cabin, bilge, lockers or engine room. Moisture absorption starts immediately. Once saturated, the bag can be regenerated by heating it in an oven at about 130 °C for 1–3 hours and then reused. For best performance, position the bag where air can circulate freely around it.Versions & DifferencesRetail Version (1 kg):  Durable woven bag with inspection window for easy monitoring.
