The 5-litre canister of LIQUI MOLY Antifreeze with glycerine-water-based concentrate can be used neat or diluted with water, depending on the desired outdoor temperature protection. For example, the container can be mixed with 4 litres of water (ratio 1:0.8) to obtain 9 litres of ready-to-use antifreeze down to -15 °C. For smaller boats, this amount is sometimes even sufficient for two seasons. Antifreeze is biodegradable and therefore environmentally friendly.
Application
The antifreeze is usually poured into the engine's external cooling water circuit via the previously opened seawater filter until the blue-coloured antifreeze emerges from the exhaust while the engine is running. Then stop the engine and close the seawater filter again. Antifreeze must not be used for the drinking water system.
