HENSOTHERM fire protection paint is an insulating coating for wood according to DIN 4102 Part1. When exposed to heat, it forms a heat-insulating foam layer on endangered wooden surfaces such as in the engine room or galley of wooden yachts and traditional ships. HENSOTHERM is already approved as a fire protection system on numerous traditional ships.HENSOTHERM 1KS is colorless and is only suitable for basically dry interior areas. For a colorless, transparent coating in these areas, the wood is first primed with wood primer AQ to minimize absorbency.
