PLASTIMO CRUISER liferaft for long-distance cruising in coastal waters.

The liferaft for 4 or 6 persons is optionally available in a flexible carrying bag (for stowing below deck, in the cockpit, in the forecastle) or in a GRP container for storage on deck.

PLASTIMO has over 40 years of experience in manufacturing products for maritime safety. All liferafts are manufactured in Europe. The CRUISER liferaft was specially developed for coastal waters. A double-shell air chamber ensures special safety. Behind a sturdy outer protective tube is the actual air tube. All fastenings are welded, sewn or glued to a high standard.

The liferaft is deployed 10% by hand and 90% by the existing gas pressure. Even a weakened person can deploy a PLASTIMO liferaft.

The length of the container can be between 640 and 840 mm. HAMMAR HR-0500 manual release hook made of stainless steel for attaching the liferaft. The hook can be used alone or in conjunction with a hydrostatic release unit (HRU), such as the HAMMAR H20R. The quick-release hook is inserted into the lashing loop (see video) and allows the webbing strap that secures the island in its holder to be pulled through tightly. In an emergency, the hook can be released quickly by hand so that the life raft can be thrown into the water. To do this, the safety split pin is pulled out, which can be done with one hand even with a heavy lashing load. If the liferaft can no longer be released manually before the ship sinks, the hydrostatic release unit (HRU) takes over. At a water depth of 1.5 - 4 metres, a spring-loaded blade automatically cuts through the lashing of the liferaft, which then slips out of the manual release hook.
