BENAR GLOSS is a high-gloss wood oil based on long-oil alkyd resin for the care and preservation of tropical and domestic hardwoods. The product forms an elastic, breathable protective film with good water vapor permeability and is suitable for use on surfaces with low UV exposure indoors and outdoors. The amber-colored varnish oil penetrates deeply into the wood and provides long-lasting protection against weathering. The high elasticity of the varnish oil additionally prevents flaking or chipping. This makes BENAR oil also very well suited for "working" solid woods.

Application: Apply with a brush to clean, dry, grease-free surfaces. For highly absorbent and fungus-prone woods, a prior impregnation with IMP Impregnation Oil (Art.No. 2090-001) is recommended. Apply the first coat thinned (max. 15% white spirit substitute), further coats unthinned. Then apply at least three more unthinned coats outdoors (three coats are sufficient indoors). If a matte surface is desired, BENAR OIL MATT (Art.No. 2094-750) must be applied as the final coat. For soft and light-sensitive woods and for horizontal surfaces exposed to strong sunlight outdoors, we recommend BENAR OIL UVR (Art.No. 2092-003).

IMP fungicidal impregnating oil
IMP IMPREGNATING OIL is a transparent wood priming oil made from a drying alkyd resin oil. It is used for the care and preservation of dimensionally stable wooden components above the waterline in indoor and outdoor areas. Thanks to its excellent penetration properties, it acts preventively against rot and fungal infestation when saturating the wood, as air and moisture are displaced. It dries quickly, is vapor-permeable and water-repellent. Suitable as a saturating primer for further coatings such as BENAR oils and other single-component paints. For sole treatment (matte surface) of spars and masts, the "wet-on-wet" application is recommended until the wood is fully saturated. Suitable for all types of wood.Application: The product is ready to use and should not be diluted. Stir well before use. Application can be done with a brush or roller. The oil is applied wet-on-wet until the wood pores are fully saturated. Material that has not penetrated must be removed immediately with a clean, lint-free cloth. Clean tools with white spirit.Technical DataField of application: Care and preservation agent for wood above the waterline (indoor and outdoor)Substrate: Clean, dry, free of grease and dust; for new tropical woodsCoverage: approx. 3–6 m²/l (theoretical, depending on absorbency)Thinning: No spray dilution intendedApplication method: Brush, rollerDrying times (at 20 °C): Dust-dry after 5 hrs, re-coatable after at least 24 hrs (max. 3 months), fully loadable after 2 days
