We are highly meticulous when selecting new products. New items are continuously researched, suppliers contacted, and samples ordered. These are thoroughly tested for quality and functionality—either in one of our in-house workshops or directly on board our own vessel for practical suitability. This forms the foundation for expert advice and reliable recommendations.
For over forty years, our editorial motto has been: We only add products to our range whose functionality, quality, and often aesthetics have convinced us so much that we are happy to recommend them to you.
Here, you will find the latest products in the Toplicht range. We hope you enjoy discovering them and using them later on board.

Set of three instruments from the BARIGO TEMPO series: barometer, quartz clock (with a choice of Roman or Arabic dial) and comfort meter. The cases are made of polished stainless steel. The barometer movement works with a pressurised can. As is customary in the shipping industry, the dial is labelled in English. The comfortmeter consists of a thermometer (measuring range 0 to 40 °C) and a hygrometer (0 to 100% relative humidity). The barometer movement can be adjusted, the time set and the battery changed via the back of the instrument, which is removed from the wall. The clock is supplied without a battery.Barometers, quartz clocks with Roman (or Arabic) dials and a comfort meter from the BARIGO TEMPO series are also available as individual instruments.
A new interpretation of the well-known SÖRENSEN storm glass, designed by Peter Jessen for DELITE. Encased in a filigree brushed stainless steel housing is a glass filled with a solution that indicates atmospheric changes by means of crystalline structures. The crystal formations react sensitively to fluctuations in temperature and air pressure. The storm glass can be set up free-standing or hung up using the wall bracket supplied. The enclosed instructions describe typical appearances of the crystals and their possible interpretation with regard to changing weather conditions. The instrument is suitable for use on board or on land and is supplied in sturdy cardboard packaging. A gift box made of rosewood (art. no. 5508-105) is available separately. Made near Copenhagen by the Danish manufacturer DELITE.Use and interpretationFor optimal use, hang the storm glass in a cool room. Crystal formation is delayed (for the next 24 to 48 hours) and should not be taken as an exact weather forecast. In stable weather conditions, the liquid usually remains clear, while cloudiness, flakes or crystals indicate possible changes in the weather. Examples from the enclosed interpretation table:Clear liquid - stable weatherCloudy liquid - damp, windy weatherCrystals at the bottom - risk of frostFlaky structures - probable change in weatherThreads in the liquid - windy weatherTechnical detailsMaterial: brushed stainless steel, borosilicate glassDimensions: approx. 155 mm high, Ø 44 mmWeight: approx. 270 g

HAMMAR HR-0500 manual release hook made of stainless steel for attaching the liferaft. The hook can be used alone or in conjunction with a hydrostatic release unit (HRU), such as the HAMMAR H20R. The quick-release hook is inserted into the lashing loop (see video) and allows the webbing strap that secures the island in its holder to be pulled through tightly. In an emergency, the hook can be released quickly by hand so that the life raft can be thrown into the water. To do this, the safety split pin is pulled out, which can be done with one hand even with a heavy lashing load. If the liferaft can no longer be released manually before the ship sinks, the hydrostatic release unit (HRU) takes over. At a water depth of 1.5 - 4 metres, a spring-loaded blade automatically cuts through the lashing of the liferaft, which then slips out of the manual release hook. This allows the raft to float freely. A longer connecting wire to the lashing and the safety pin are available as accessories. Please ask us about them. Technical features Made of Stainless steel Dimensions: 85 x 170 x 102 mm Weight: 205 g Maximum working load: 15 kN
A mosquito net for hatches of all standard sizes and brands. It is tight enough to protect against even the smallest insects (midges, sand flies, sand fleas, mosquitoes, wasps, etc.). Nevertheless, it allows good ventilation. The net has a thin, chrome-plated and foldable steel frame that keeps it under tension and expands it. When folded, it fits into a small bag and can be easily stowed away (‘pop-up’).The grille is attached to the hatch from the inside with a magnet or suction cup. For attachment using magnets, a small metal plate is attached to the inside of the hatch with double-sided adhesive tape (included in the delivery). The suction cup can be attached directly to glass. A small pull cord is used to tension the grille against the hatch frame and keep it taut - no matter how wide the hatch is open. The grille simply needs to be larger than the inside opening of the hatch so that no slit is created. The shape of the hatch does not matter: square, rectangular or round.1316-400: Outer dimensions 350x350mm (14‘ x 14’), fits all hatches with an opening <300x300mm (12‘ x 12’).1316-600: External dimensions 600x600mm (24‘ x 24’), fits all hatches with an opening <520x520mm (20‘ x 20’).1316-800: External dimensions 800x800mm (31‘ x 31’), fits all hatches with an opening <720x720mm (28‘ x 28’).Fastening takes a few seconds.
