MARCO EW2 sound signaling system (ships
Marco EW2 electronic sound signaling system with pressure chamber loudspeaker.
The system is approved for ships up to 20 m (IMO Class IV) by RINA, Bureau Veritas, Lloyd's Register and BSH as a sound signaling system ("whistle") in accordance with KVR (COLREG 1972). You will find the relevant certificates at the end of the user manual (see "Downloads").

Operation
- The control panel can be used to start fog signals or individual tone sequences (up to eight tones) with a repetition of 60 or 90 seconds
- The horn can be activated as required using a separate push button (not included) - with absolute priority, e.g. before a fog signal that has already been started
- If the VHF radio or other sources such as a radio are connected, the transmission of its signals to the loudspeaker can be started
Scope of delivery
- Waterproof (IP67), heatable acoustic horn (loudspeaker) with bracket for mounting on the mast
- A factory-fitted, one meter long, tinned power cable with a cross-section of 2 x 1.5 mm² is attached to the acoustic horn. To ensure watertightness, the cable gland is sealed (opening the seal will invalidate the warranty). The required cable length to the control unit must be connected to this cable
- Control unit with sound generator for below-deck installation
- Control panel for bulkhead mounting
- 5 meter RJ45 cable for connecting the control panel and control unit. Note: The watertight cable gland in the control unit is unfortunately too small for the plug size of this cable and must therefore be adapted. In the control panel, the plug of the cable ensures that the box cannot be closed again. Therefore, use the control panel for bulkhead mounting
