Description

The horn complies with the requirements of the COLREG for sound signaling systems on seagoing vessels with a length < 75 meters. It may also be used on inland waterway vessels (< 75 meters) operating on European waterways and German maritime waterways, where the same acoustic signal regulations apply as for seagoing vessels of the same length.

The H400 Maritone air horn from Den Haan Rotterdam has an audible range of more than one nautical mile.

The diaphragm housing is made of 316L stainless steel, the diaphragm of phosphor bronze. The bell is made of brass and painted white (red inside). These high-quality materials ensure a long service life.

A compressor with at least 7 bar pressure and an air volume of 8-12 l/s, an 8x10 mm compressed air line with connector, a solenoid valve and a push button or control panel are required for operation. You will find all this under "Accessories & spare parts" further down on this page.
