Description

The horn complies with the KVR (COLREG) requirements for audible signaling systems on seagoing vessels less than 75 meters in length. Furthermore, it may be used on inland waterway vessels (< 75 meters) operating on European waterways and German maritime waterways, where the same acoustic signaling regulations apply as for seagoing vessels of the same length.

The H400 Maritone compressed-air horn from Den Haan Rotterdam has an audible range of more than one nautical mile.

The diaphragm housing is made of 316L stainless steel, and the diaphragm is made of phosphor bronze. The bell is made of brass and painted white (with a red interior). These high-quality materials ensure a long service life.

Operation requires an 8x10 mm compressed air line with a connector, a solenoid valve, and a pushbutton or control panel. You can find all of these under “Accessories & spare parts” further down on this page. The connected compressor must deliver an air flow rate of at least 8–12 l/s at a pressure of 7 bar.
