The unique design of the lenses in combination with the latest LED and highly efficient circuit technology ensure constant light output throughout the entire battery life. 

The light is emitted all round (360°) at a vertical angle of more than 30°. This means that the light is also clearly visible from the air.

The EDF1 is a safe and long-lasting alternative to pyrotechnic hand flares. In contrast to the latter, it can be used several times in each of the four operating modes.

Storage and operation of the LED signalling device are completely uncomplicated. Thanks to its compact and robust design, the hand flare fits easily into a grab bag, life raft or jacket pocket.
