The easyTRX3S is the further development of the easyTRX3 AIS Class B transponder with SOTDMA technology and 5 watt transmission power. WiFi and ME SENSE Relay for smart boat monitoring have been added to the transponder.

With the standard WiFi module, all AIS data received via the NMEA network can be forwarded to a wirelessly connected end device such as a tablet or smartphone or to a chart plotter.

Thanks to its Bluetooth functionality, the easyTRX3S can also serve as the heart of the ME SENSE yacht monitoring system. The data from up to 20 sensors and 10 actuators is transmitted to the relay via Bluetooth. From there, it is transmitted to the ME SENSE app via the marina's Wi-Fi network or your own LTE router. This allows the yacht itself to be monitored conveniently from home.

SOTDMA technology

Based on AIS Class B SOTDMA (Self Organized Time Division Multiple Access) technology, the easyTRX3S transmits with higher (5 watts) transmission power and priority. The transmission slots for the next four transmissions are reserved automatically. Even in areas with high traffic volumes, the easyTRX3S is always able to transmit position reports, as SOTDMA has priority over regular AIS Class B devices with CSTDMA (Carrier Sense Time Division Multiple Access). The higher transmission rate improves the visibility of your own AIS position reports on AIS-capable systems.

Integrated GPS antenna and active VHF antenna splitter

The integrated GPS antenna increases the independence of mounting the easyTRX3S device on board. On GRP and wooden yachts, only a power connection and a VHF connection are required. On steel yachts, the external GPS antenna available as an accessory improves reception. The integrated, active VHF antenna splitter ensures that the same antenna can be used for VHF radio and AIS. The preamplifier reduces the physical loss to a minimum.

WEATHERDOCK ME SENSE Boat watch sensors
The ME SENSE sensors can be used to complement your boat monitoring set or to customise a system to suit your personal needs. Each of the sensors (except the shore power sensor), due to their small size and weight, can be easily attached exactly where needed with a strip of double-sided tape.GeneralDimensions (L/W/H): 50 x 50 x 20 mmWeight: 27 gramsOperating temperature range: -20° Celsius to +70° CelsiusStorage temperature range: -40° Celsius to +70° CelsiusPower supplyOperating voltage: 3V DCBattery life: 1.5 yearsBattery type: CR2450Bluetooth Low EnergyFrequency band: 2.400 - 2.4835 GHzSupported modes: Bluetooth 5.0ME SENSE Sensor TemperatureFor monitoring temperature fluctuations of the battery (e.g. during winter storage) or the temperature in the engine compartment.ME SENSE Sensor HumidityHigh humidity and poor ventilation quickly lead to mould growth. To prevent this, the ME SENSE Humidity Sensor measures at regular intervals whether the humidity is within the desired range - if not, an alarm is sent via the ME SENSE app.ME SENSE Sensor BilgeThe exposed float detects whether there is water in the bilge. During installation, the installation height is defined so that rising water in the bilge is detected and an alarm is given above a defined height.ME SENSE Air Pressure SensorTake a look at the barometer on board from a distance. This way, rapid changes in air pressure are detected and there is still time to take the necessary measures before a possible storm.ME SENSE Sensor DoorA magnetic contact determines whether a door or sliding hatch / bulkhead is closed or open. One of the two magnets is connected to the sensor by cable. The two magnets are attached to the door to be monitored and to the door frame in such a way that they close an electric circuit at a small distance from each other when the door is closed. This circuit is interrupted when the door is opened. The changed status "open" can trigger an alarm in the app.ME SENSE Sensor Shore PowerThe ME SENSE shore power sensor is simply plugged into a 230 V socket on board and integrated into the ME SENSE app via the QR code. This makes it possible to check whether shore power is available on board or not. It is not possible to control the socket via the app. Dimensions (L/W/D): 160 x 10 x 60 mm.Each of the sensors can be easily connected to the central ME SENSE RELAY WiFi bridge. Simply scan the QR code shown with the ME SENSE app from Weatherdock and that's it. The download of the ME SENSE App is free of charge, a subscription is required for the registration of the sensors. To set up the ME SENSE boat monitoring system, a pre-assembled set with two or four sensors is the first choice. You will find the two variants of the "ME SENSE Set" further down on this page under "Similar products".Data transmission is possible via the marina WiFi or additionally via the mobile phone network. You will find the ME SENSE RELAY WiFi and the GATE LTE under "ME SENSE devices" further down on this page under "Similar products".

WEATHERDOCK ME SENSE Boat watch devices
With the ME SENSE devices, your boat monitoring set can be supplemented or a new system can be individually put together according to personal needs. The ME SENSE RELAY WiFi is the basis of the ME SENSE boat monitoring system. It is the control centre for transmitting the data from the sensors via WLAN of the marina to the cloud and ultimately to the ME SENSE app. The relay also serves as a battery sensor. Since it is connected to the on-board battery for power supply, it also monitors its voltage.General Dimensions (L/W/H): 125 x 100 x 50 mmWeight: approx. 160 g (plus antenna)Operating temperature range: -20° Celsius to +70° CelsiusStorage temperature range: -40° Celsius to +70° CelsiusPower supplyOperating voltage: 9 - 32 volts DCPower consumption: 100 mWConnections Power supply: 2-pole supply cable, 1.5 mRP SMA socket: for WiFi antennaThe ME SENSE GATE LTE enables an "island solution". With an LTE SIM card (not included in the scope of delivery), it is possible to connect the ME SENSE RELAY WiFi in order to set up your own Internet access point. Thus, the ME SENSE boat monitoring system is independent of WLAN networks in harbours and can transmit data via the mobile network. To set up the ME SENSE boat monitoring system, a pre-assembled set with two or four sensors is the first choice. You will find the two variants of the "ME SENSE Set" further down on this page under "Similar products".Your ME SENSE boat monitoring system can be supplemented with additional sensors to additionally monitor temperature, bilge, door, air humidity, air pressure or the shore power connection. The IC-M510BB is a black box VHF marine radio with a remotely mountable control unit as the sole call station. The waterproof (IPX7) HF unit IC-M510BB can be installed in a place where it will not interfere. All functions, including DSC operation, can be operated with the supplied COMMANDMIC HM-195GB. Its cable length of 6.10 metres can be extended to a maximum of 18.30 metres. Two optional OPC-1541 extensions are required for this. You will find these (Article-No. 3938-154) further down on this page under "Accessories" for the COMMANDMIC.Install up to three stations on board, VHF radio available at your desired positions Up to three COMMANDMIC control units can be connected to the IC-M410BB, providing access to the VHF radio and the intercom functions. When using the intercom function, you can choose between a single call or an all-call. It is possible to transmit from up to three different positions on board. NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183-HS enable data integration on board. The NMEA 2000 network provides plug-and-play data communication for connection to other marine devices, such as an MFD (multi-function display). The radio can send GNSS (GPS) position, DSC call, AIS signals and radio channel to other devices. The integrated AIS receiver monitors the movements of other vesselsThe integrated AIS receiver shows you ships in the immediate vicinity. You can set an alarm for "too close" approaches to avoid collisions. As the MMSI is part of the AIS data received, you can address a selected vessel directly via an individual DSC call.DSC remote control interface for PC console software (EN 300 338-8 compliant) The IC-M510BB has a special DSC remote control port (compatible with EN 300 338-8) that enables connection to PC console software or an external device.
