Scupper Plugs
Plug with enlargeable diameter, made of NBR rubber and galvanized steel.
The diameter can be adjusted using the large wing nut. The threaded rod provides a flow or drainage option - the cover is unscrewed for this purpose. Exception: The smallest plug 6330-025 has no passage for draining.
Technical features
- Application range of the NBR rubber: -30 to +120 °C
- Resistant to mineral oil products with an aromatic content of up to 50%
- Resistant to aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons and solvents
- Resistant to oil and grease-resistant foodstuffs
- Not permanently resistant to solar radiation
Scupper plugs are used to temporarily seal open scuppers to prevent the uncontrolled flow or ingress of liquids. They are used in particular when liquids - such as oil - need to be retained and collected during work on board or in the event of leaks. Thanks to their precisely fitting design, scupper plugs can be inserted quickly and tightly into the openings and removed just as easily. As well as being used on tankers, they can also be used for maintenance work, accidents or for shutting off pipes and drains.
