Description

The RULE-MATE is an automatic bilge pump, controlled by an electronic water level sensor integrated into the housing and does not require a separate float switch. As soon as water reaches the sensor area, the pump starts automatically and pumps out the bilge water. When the water level drops again, the pump switches off automatically.

According to the manufacturer, the RM500, RM800 and RM1100 models start at a water level of approximately 5 cm and switch off again when the residual water level is approximately 0.9 cm. The RM2000 starts at a water level of approximately 7 cm.

Unlike the time-controlled automatic pumps of the RULE-AUTOMATIC/RA series (see Similar Products), the RULE-MATE does not start at fixed intervals during normal operation, but reacts to the actual water level. The manufacturer refers to this function as ‘Auto Sense Intelligence’. If the sensor is obstructed by debris or the pump runs without delivering water, a backup function prevents continuous operation: the pump then switches to a cyclic check mode with a 2.5-minute interval.

The actual flow rate depends on the delivery head, the hose routing and the connection diameter used. As the delivery head increases, the flow rate decreases. The TOPLICHT product table therefore lists not only the maximum flow rate but also the flow rate at 1 m water column; depending on the model, this ranges between 23 and 93 l/min for the RULE-MATE pumps on offer.

The series features a plastic housing with an easily removable strainer base plate. The motor is fully enclosed, and the shaft is made of stainless steel and fitted with a special seal. The unit is supplied with straight hose connections. Depending on the model, a range of flow rates, connection diameters and operating voltages are available.
