1259*02 CROMOX DUPLEX-Edelstahl Ankerkette elektropoliert
Short-link anchor chain made of the exceptionally high-strength DUPLEX stainless steel alloy 1.4462 (AISI 318LN), Grade 6. Calibrated and conforming to DIN 766A. The chain offers high corrosion resistance in saltwater, even at high water temperatures up to 35 °C (PRE value approx. 34). The surface is electropolished.
It is delivered as a complete coil, which is cut to your specified length. The delivery time is approximately 3 weeks. Each coil delivery includes a factory certificate in accordance with EN 10204-2.2.
We have loose chain by the meter “in stock” in case you need a shorter length (e.g., as a high-strength section of your shrouds or as a chain lead-in).
CROMOX stainless steel anchor chains achieve their maximum corrosion resistance when electropolished. During electropolishing, the surface is microscopically smoothed through electrochemical material removal. In addition, chromium and nickel accumulate on the surface, leading to the formation of a durable passive layer. This combination of a minimal surface area and an optimal passive layer results in outstanding corrosion resistance. KETTEN WÄLDER provides a 3-year corrosion protection warranty on these chains.
CROMOX anchor chains are manufactured in Germany by KETTEN WÄLDER. These chains offer maximum safety thanks to their exceptionally high breaking strength, as well as significant weight savings, since a smaller chain diameter can be used while maintaining the same breaking strength. They are lightweight and fit neatly into the chain locker without clumping. The surface of the chains is very smooth, resulting in minimal adhesion of silt and sand and thus virtually no problems with dirt or fouling.
This chain is also available with a simply polished, bare surface (see “Similar Products”).
Upon request, this chain is also available with gauge marks in accordance with ISO 4565.
