Description

The CROMOX Anchor Twister Original CATO is an anchor-chain connector developed by stainless steel chain specialist KETTEN WÄLDER, designed to match the breaking load of the corresponding DUPLEX anchor chain.

Manufactured in Germany from high-strength, corrosion-resistant 1.4462 DUPLEX (AISI 318LN) stainless steel.

Thanks to its special design and the smooth-running, rotatable ball head of the anchor swivel, the anchor aligns itself during hoisting so that it fits well against the anchor roller. This prevents the anchor chain from twisting and potentially causing damage.

With the innovative quick-change system, the anchor can be easily and simply detached from the anchor chain or replaced. The chain and anchor are each secured with a bolted pin (hex socket).

Short-link anchor chain made of the particularly high-strength DUPLEX stainless steel alloy 1.4462 (AISI 318LN ), grade 6. Calibrated and true to gauge according to DIN 766A. The chain has high corrosion resistance in salt water, even at high water temperatures up to 35° (PRE value approx. 34). The surface is electropolished.Delivery in whole bundles from 20 m length (made up according to your length specification) or in shorter lengths loose per meter. Each bundle is delivered with a works certificate according to EN 10204-2.2. Delivery time approx. 3 weeks.CROMOX stainless steel anchor chains reach their maximum corrosion resistance in electropolished condition. During electropolishing, the surface is microscopically smoothed by electrochemical material. In addition, chromium and nickel accumulate on the surface, resulting in the formation of a resistant passive layer. This combination of minimal surface area with an optimal passive layer results in excellent corrosion resistance.
