A CENTURY OF WYKEHAM MARTIN!
This roller-furling fitting is a piece of British yachting history. Developed at the beginning of the 20th century by Colonel Wykeham-Martin, these furling systems have been aboard dinghies and yachts for more then 100 years. You could say they are the father of all roller furlers.
This solid construction has been completely overhauled by DAVEY & Co. and today is available in modern manufacture. The ball bearings are exceptionally wear-resistant and maintenance-free.

The system is only intended for free-running jibs. The fittings are not designed to take the continuous strain of the forestay.
Particularly reliable in setting and furling jibs. Foredeck work is simplified and dangerous flogging of the sail is limited.

Made from hand-polished bronze. Drum and swivel work on ball bearings. All pieces are removable and thus easy to maintain.

Replacement parts for the standard parts that wear out are available.
Each contains: ball bearings, bearing discs, safety stopping nuts.

Comes in 4 sizes:
TYPE 1B for sails up to approx. 5 m²;
TYPE 2B for sails up to approx. 10 m²;
TYPE 3B for sails up to approx. 20 m²;

Drums and swivels for mounting on top yield a complete roller-furling system!
