Dual sheave ECO ships block
Very sturdy and durable ship blocks in traditional shape and design, but with a maintenance-free wood composite material made from bamboo sawdust and recycled plastics.
In color and surface texture, this composite material is almost indistinguishable from real wood. It does not absorb water and therefore does not require extensive oiling, painting or other maintenance. The solidity of this rather heavy material allows the stringers of these traditionally built and riveted blocks to be slightly thinner, which gives the blocks an elegant appearance.
The hardware is matte stained stainless steel (AISI316) and the sheave is black ERTACETAL plastic with a low-friction, maintenance-free composite plain bearing. The strong stainless steel axle is secured against twisting and falling out.
